00:09I had a couple of conversations with some people during the IPL about it.

00:13The people that I spoke to were pretty hell bent on trying to find a way to make it work.

00:18I'm surprised that Dravid's done it as well.

00:30It's exactly the same, the exact same amount of time but I'm living in India for 300 days

00:35a year.

00:36I don't do it for work, I do it for fun.

00:41I like it, I like the excitement that, when you're doing something, it's different.

00:44I do it for fun.

00:45I don't do it for competitions or anything, I don't do it for nothing.

00:49I enjoy it.

00:50I admire the work that people do, I admire the passion that you place in there.

00:56but I'm living in India for 300 days of the year,

00:58which, yeah, look, I had a couple of conversations

01:01with some people during the IPL about it.

01:04You know, the people that I spoke to

01:06were pretty hell-bent on trying to find a way

01:09to make it work, because the first thing I said

01:11was I just can't, you know, I can't give up that time.

01:14I've got other, that means I can't coach in the IPL.

01:17I'd have to give up seven stuff in the summer.

01:19Like, it just can't work.

01:21But, you know, it's nice to have people

01:23that think that you might be able to do these big jobs,

01:25but there's a lot more to come with it

01:28than just saying yes or no to a coaching gig.

01:30If Ricky Ponting coaches India,

01:32oh, that's, I'm sorry, that's me.

01:35I mean, I love you, I'd do anything for you.

01:36I've already said that, but.

01:38I'm surprised that Trav has done it as well,

01:39because there was a lot of chat about how happy he was

01:42in his under-19 role, I think,

01:43or his academy role that he had,

01:45and I'm not sure much about his family life,

01:47or what he's got, but I'm pretty sure he's got youngish,

01:49at least one anyway, and so I'm surprised that he took it.

01:51But, you know, I think, as I said,

01:56the people that I spoke to are pretty,

01:57they were gonna make sure they got exactly the right person

02:00so they've been able to convince Trav to do it.

02:02I think they were just exhausted.

02:10Yeah.

02:11I mean, their run, what they've had,

02:13and you've got to understand where they've been.

02:14I mean, their whole country's been in lockdown, right?

02:16So, and then they've, last year's IPO in the UAE,

02:21they went straight back home,

02:21they played their domestic cricket at home.

02:23They then went to England in between this,

02:25they come from England,

02:26straight into another bubble in the UAE, play there,

02:28they go straight into the World Cup.

02:30They've got New Zealand, I reckon, about two days after.
