00:00I think that the people in India are not given enough credit for being open-minded.

00:10I think we all get lots of hate mail and lots of people that hate on you.

00:14The first time I got it, though, I was about 19, 20 years old, so it affected me a lot.

00:20And that's why I said no to The Big Boss Show.

00:30Were you always this clear of what you want out of life?

00:50Were you this kind of kid, basically, who knew which subject exactly to choose from high school?

00:55No, not at all. I was the average C student, not the good Indian student that got straight A's.

01:03I always knew that I wanted to own my own business, I just never knew what it was going to be.

01:08And then finally, you chose a new profession altogether, you chose a new country.

01:14I think it takes a lot of courage to do that, Sunny.

01:17Or just crazy.

01:19Or just crazy, exactly. It could be strength, it could be crazy.

01:23So where do you get it from? And don't just tell me that you're just crazy so you did it.

01:26I go by numbers. I see numbers, I see analytics, I see how something does.

01:32So when I got offered to do The Big Boss Show, my first reaction was to say no.

01:37Because I'd gotten so much hate mail from so many people that they sent me a PowerPoint presentation

01:44with all these numbers and stats and everything.

01:47And then I started researching and that's how I said yes.

01:50Also, going back to you said that you got a lot of hate mail.

01:55So how do you deal with all the criticism, all the comments, even probably on your Instagram handle and things like that?

02:02How do you deal with all of that?

02:04I think we all get lots of hate mail and lots of people that hate on you.

02:07The first time I got it though, I was about 19, 20 years old, so it affected me a lot.

02:13And that's why I said no to The Big Boss Show.

02:16Because I just didn't want to emotionally go through that again.

02:20And now I analyze everything. I'm like, okay, let's put this in perspective.

02:26A, they went to my page. They're staring at it.

02:29B, they are looking at the photo or comment and now we're thinking about what they want to say.

02:35Then what do they do? They start typing.

02:38So they're still on my page or they're still on your page.

02:41Yeah, exactly.

02:42Now they've started typing, they've spellcheck, they've erased, they've rewrote.

02:47And now they're staring at the message.

02:49Some of them have written long, long comments.

02:51Think about how much they're thinking about you.

02:53So then once they've thought about it, now they're staring at their answer.

02:57They're going to make sure that it's hard hitting, of course.

03:00And then they hit the send button.

03:02So I go, thanks guys, you are my greatest fans.

03:05Yeah, as long as they're there and they're getting the number.

03:08Do you really not care about what people think or can I say that you've grown thick skin?

03:14I definitely get affected by certain things that certain groups of people might say.

03:20If it's an individual, it doesn't bother me.

03:23If it's my staff, crew, the people that I'm around, yeah, obviously that affects me.

03:29Or let's say it's a reporter that you know.

03:31You've met so many times, you've interviewed with them so many times

03:34and then they start writing all these things and misquoting you.

03:37That stuff is more irritating to me than it hurts me.
