Rahul Gandhi VS. Smriti Irani On The Farmer Protest

When Smriti Irani took on Rahul Gandhi over his claims about how the farmer protests would spread across India.

00:05I don't know how Rahul Gandhi is preparing to spread violence.

00:13But yes, what is his mind, what is his intention?

00:18Today he himself has made it clear in his press conference.

00:31These three laws, farmers are standing outside Delhi.

00:36And instead of talking to them, instead of resolving the situation,

00:42the government is threatening them, beating them, using NIA, trying to discredit them.

00:52What is shocking yet, but expected of Mr. Gandhi,

00:57is that over 300 police personnel of the Delhi Police,

01:02who were badly injured, did not receive one word of support or consolation from Mr. Gandhi.

01:28But they should not feel that the farmers will step back.

01:34And I want to tell the farmers, we are all with you,

01:38don't step back an inch, don't step back an inch, this is your future, fight for it.

01:57This is the voice of the country.

02:08The Prime Minister will have to listen.

02:38The government must not think that the farmers are going to go home,

02:45And my concern is that this situation is going to spread.

02:56We do not need this situation to spread, we need a conversation with the farmers,
