00:00And these three laws, I am going to present them in front of the President.
00:09So today, these three laws have been rejected by the Parliament and the Central Government
00:29has appealed to the government to listen to the farmers and not to become worse than the
00:34British.
00:36In 1907, during the British rule, there was a movement called the Pagdi Sambhal Jatta.
00:48It was a movement in Punjab.
00:51It was a very similar movement.
00:54That movement was also against the three laws.
01:00The British had passed three laws.
01:03Bari Doab Act, Punjab Land Colonization Act, Punjab Land Alignation Act.
01:11And the farmers of Punjab had protested against this.
01:14There were so many people gathered.
01:17This protest went on for nine months against the British.
01:23So the Central Government should not think that these farmers are going to leave easily.
01:30The leadership of that movement was led by Bhagat Singh's father, Kishori Singh.
01:36And Bhagat Singh's uncle, Ajit Singh.
01:40Both of them had formed the Bharat Mata Nirman Society.
01:46There was a movement in the leadership of that society to repeal these three laws.
01:52Even then, the British government had said, let's make some amendments.
01:58There were many rounds of discussion.
02:01The British government said, let's make some changes.
02:05But the farmers were adamant that we have to repeal these three laws.
02:09And in the end, the British repealed all three laws.
02:13This is the first time that three laws have been repealed without a vote.
02:18Bhagat Singh has passed.
02:20There will be no voting.
02:22What kind of injustice is this that the laws have been repealed?
02:27For the last six to seven years, you have seen how the BJP has made the elections so expensive.
02:33How much money is spent in the elections.
02:36How much money is spent.
02:39These laws were not made for the farmers.
02:43These laws were made to fund the elections of the BJP.
02:50The country should understand this as soon as possible.
02:54The farmers have understood it.
02:56The rest of the country should understand it as soon as possible.
03:00So, Mr. President, I support this.
03:05And these are three laws.
03:08I present these three laws to the President.
03:38I am in a lot of pain while repealing these three laws.
03:42I had no intention of repealing them.
03:46But today, when my country's farmers are sleeping on the roads at 2 degrees,
03:52and they are in pain,
03:54then I cannot betray my country's farmers and my country's soldiers.
03:58I am also a citizen of this country.
04:01I am the Chief Minister later.
04:03So today, this Parliament repeals these three laws.
04:07And I appeal to the Central Government,
04:10that while listening to the farmers,
04:12don't become worse than the British.
04:14The British took back the laws in 9 months.
04:18You should at least respect the freedom of expression
04:21that after 20 days, these laws have been repealed.
