These Khalsa Aid volunteers are helping rebuild lives in Delhi’s worst riot-hit areas.

00:00It was a horrific atmosphere.

00:03It was such an atmosphere that even if someone was sitting safely at home,

00:09he didn't have any attack on him.

00:11But his mental attack on him was very major.

01:30But we chose this project because we wanted to support people who have lost their jobs.

01:58If his business gets back on its feet and he gets a start,

02:03then he can build his house again and take care of his family.

02:09We don't have a limit on food.

02:12If we give them food packets and langar, then the work is done.

02:17This is the relief.

02:28We are helping for humanity.

02:43We are not looking at who has what religion.

02:48But the mentality of the people who have lost their jobs is a big challenge for us.

02:56This challenge makes us think that we have come to serve,

03:07we have come to help, but why are they not understanding us?

03:13Our faith and religion teaches us that humanity comes before religion.

03:26On that basis, we are doing this relief work without looking at caste or religion.
