With Eid al-Fitr just a few days away, for cricket lovers in Karachi, it means that their cricket tournament is also coming to an end.

00:16Late-night street cricket games during the Ramadan month have been a tradition that dates
00:21back several decades, with Karachi being the hub of the lively matches.
00:25Late-night street cricket is getting famous in the last few days because it is a tournament
00:31for smaller and bigger teams and in the last few days, their semi-finals and finals, as
00:36you can see, the finals are taking place here as well.
00:38This is why people are getting more excited because it is a knockout cricket.
00:42Like every year, we are waiting for this month because the people of Karachi, as I told you,
00:46all the people of Karachi, especially us, are eagerly waiting for Lihari cricket.
00:51If God wills, we will come here again and become champions in Lihari in the month of Ramadan.
00:57We have played a lot of tournaments, so we were eager to play in the night.
01:03And after winning 5-6 matches, we have come this far in this round.
01:08The Ramadan has ended, so we have come to the final.
01:11The matches typically start after Taraweeh, or late-night prayers, and end around midnight.
01:17The cricket balls are modified to suit their playing environment.
01:21Tennis balls are tapped with white tape to give them more weight and also visibility at night.
01:26The tape is deftly stretched over the ball's surface to give it a smooth surface that produces
01:31greater bounce and speed.
01:33This cricket ball is deemed safer than a conventional cricket ball.
01:38Pakistan is expected to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr festival on either March 31st or April 1st,
01:44depending on the sighting of the moon, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
