00:00In rugby sports, after winning the gold medal in Asia Rugby Trophy 7's 2024 in Kathmandu, Nepal,

00:07the Philippine Rugby Women's Volcanoes Team placed their upcoming competition this year.

00:13That's what our teammate Daryl Oclares has to say.

00:17The Philippine Rugby Women's Volcanoes Team is now preparing for the prestigious international rugby tournaments

00:24that they will be playing this 2025.

00:28It's a good moment for the Philippine Rugby Women's Volcanoes Team

00:32because they will remember winning the double gold medal in Asia Rugby Trophy 7's 2024 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

00:42That's why this year, they hope to continue their victories for the upcoming tournaments

00:48that will be played by the Philippine Rugby Women's Volcanoes Team players, Johnny Puig,

00:52and the team captain, Rochelle Sales.

00:55It's really being done by Singapore.

00:57They are hosting a team for Southeast Asia.

01:00So, it's also in preparation for us, for Seagames.

01:07Sales also added that they are continuing their development with the rising Philippine rugby players.

01:15We call it rising stars.

01:16So, actually, these are national development players.

01:21So, there are no tryouts yet.

01:23But our goal is to give more exposure to the local girls in the international competition.

01:33Former women's rising stars player, Puig, also has a message to the women who are just starting in rugby sports.

01:42Of course, to the kids, do what you can do.

01:47Do your best.

01:48Don't be afraid.

01:49Try everything.

01:50What you're doing is not wrong as long as you enjoy it, have passion, and are committed to what you're doing.
