00:00Since Labour came into power, 25,000 more children have been pushed into poverty due

00:04to the two-child benefit cap, and now, according to the Government's own impact assessment,

00:09over 250,000 people will be pushed into poverty as a result of these cuts, including 50,000

00:14children.

00:15So I ask the Chancellor, who earns over £150,000 annually, has accepted £7,500 worth of free

00:23clothing and recently took freebie tickets to see Sabrina Carpenter. Does she think Austerity

00:292.0 is the change people really voted for?

00:36There's nothing progressive and there's nothing Labour about pouring more money into a broken

00:41system. Under the changes that we're bringing about, we're going to help young people who

00:46are not in education, employment or training by giving them targeted support. And as I

00:51set out in the statement earlier, the OBR so far have not scored any of the back-to-work

00:56programme, which is the biggest back-to-work programme that we've seen for many, many years.

01:00They're going to do that work over the autumn. But we know that the best way to lift people

01:05out of poverty is to get them into good work, secure work, paying a decent wage. We're increasing

01:10the national living wage so it'll go up by £1,400 for someone working full-time from

01:15next month, as well as the Employment Rights Bill, which ensures that people will have

01:18security at work. That's the difference that this Labour government is making.
