00:03It's not for the faint of heart, but it's where legends are made.
00:07Legends like the Gamma Gang.
00:11They did a smash and grab on the artifact like nobody's ever seen.
00:17But first, let's back up.
00:20How'd they even make it this far?
00:24When you're in the Reach, you're after one thing.
00:27The artifact.
00:29The most valuable object in the known universe.
00:33And if you're brave or stupid enough to go after it, you won't be alone.
00:37Be the first crew to find it, snatch it, and pass through the Wildgate,
00:41or be the last crew left standing.
00:48It all starts with your ship.
00:50Whether you're mining asteroids, scanning for loot, or battling borders,
00:54the right ship isn't just a choice.
00:56It's your edge in the fight to stay alive.
01:03It could go big with the Bastion, packed full of gadgets and guns,
01:07but they'll see you coming a light year away.
01:10Or go small with a Hunter.
01:12Just don't get caught, because those shields will not last.
01:17Remember, your ship is your lifeline.
01:20You lose your ride, it's mission over.
01:23Your crew, on the other hand, can handle whatever the Reach throws at them.
01:27Armed with the right weapons, tools, and special skills.
01:30It's all hands on deck.
01:32That's one thing the Gamma Gang understood.
01:35It's not about sticking to one job.
01:37It's about supporting your crew.
01:39Mining for resources, keeping the engines running, putting out fires.
01:43Every crew member counts.
01:45Because when things start to heat up, it's either you or them.
01:50The Reach is a living, breathing death trap.
01:54Cosmic storms, Reach leeches, lava asteroids, and space mines.
02:00To get a handle on what's out there, you're going to need to scout ahead.
02:03Probes are your best bet to map the area.
02:06Locate hazards, supplies, and hidden treasures.
02:11It's also how the Gamma Gang stayed one step ahead of the other crews.
02:15Fuel and ice.
02:17Without them, the job gets a lot tougher.
02:20If your reactor overheats, you'd better have ice on hand to cool it down.
02:24And fuel gives your ship the extra boost it needs for a quick getaway.
02:28Running out won't leave you stranded.
02:30But trust me, without it, you're as good as Reach dust.
02:34If you want to pull this off, you'll need the best loot you can find.
02:38All over the Reach are lost caches of cutting-edge ship upgrades,
02:42powerful weapons, and gear that gives you the upper hand.
02:46But do not get cocky.
02:48The better the goods, the tougher they'll be to grab.
02:51This place is teeming with vicious little surprises.
02:54Grab what you can and make it quick,
02:56because those other prospectors could crash the party at any moment.
02:59Which reminds me, watch your back.
03:02Because those rival squads will try to board your ship.
03:05Keep your guns loaded and your multi-tools ready to repair.
03:08They'll do everything they can to try to sabotage you.
03:11Don't let them.
03:17Now, back to the big score.
03:19The artifact.
03:21You never know where it'll pop up,
03:23or what kinds of hell you'll have to go through to get it.
03:25Many prospectors went in that day,
03:27but only the Gamma Gang came out.
03:30But it wasn't over yet.
03:32They made a mad dash for the Wild Gate,
03:34and the other crews were hot on their tail.
03:36Which brings us back to here.
03:39Now, the Gamma Gang did make it to the Wild Gate,
03:42but I never said they made it through.
03:44They had the guns, the fuel, the upgrades.
03:47The plan was perfect.
03:49Or so they thought.
03:51Because there was one thing they didn't expect.
03:54Me.
03:59That's the Reach, kid.
04:01I didn't play fair.
04:03And you don't have to either.
04:05Because out here, the only plan that counts
04:08is the one you make up on the fly.
