Fight for $15 is asking McDonald's to pay their workers a $15 minimum wage and be recognized as an union

00:00I'm currently evicted right now, but I'll be at work tonight at McDonald's in Kansas City to work my shift tonight.

00:15I did try to ask my bosses, my employers, the second largest employer on the planet, a simple question.

00:22Not only $15 an hour we demand, but the right to be recognized as a union.

00:27To have a union, to be afforded the protections of a union, to have benefits, to have healthcare, to have paid sick days.

00:35Those are the things that we desire.

00:48When is this foolishness going to end, McDonald's?

00:50When are you going to talk to me and my co-workers and when are you going to give us what we deserve and what we're demanding?

00:57$15 an hour and a union.

01:11And I'll work for those $9 an hour while many of my co-workers in my city still are working for $7.65 an hour.
