00:00Only one thing was good, that I did not know where the journey takes.

00:06We arrived in a place, you could call it the hell.

00:21I hope, for the whole world's sake, that the world learns something from it.

00:28And therefore I try, how much I can, to talk about it.

00:37They put a number of us, like what they do, an enemy.

00:43We were not women, and we were not taken.

00:52Oh, that is, yeah, that is, yeah, thank you that you mentioned it.

00:58I remember the people who were already there.

01:11They told me that, you know, your family is not on other parts where they will work.

01:20They are murdered.

01:22And you know what I answered?

01:25You are mad.

01:27We don't believe that.

01:29And very quick, we find out from people who were there a bit longer time,

01:39that that was the truth.

01:42That is what they want to achieve.

01:45Kill us.

01:47Why they could not?

01:49Because the time run out.

01:51Nothing else.

02:36Because in the ghetto, they should know where the Jewish people are.

02:43So it was easier for them to take us to the camp.

02:56The truth is that the whole Europe, the Jewish people, nearly the whole Europe,

03:06the Jewish people were not alive anymore.

03:11And we in Hungary still did not know.

03:16And they know also how to work in secret.

03:21So even in Hungary, for one town, the other town did not know what happens.

03:52They took us from Hungary.

03:56They have not enough workers.

03:58They need workers.

04:00They took us for slave labor.

04:03We thought a few months, a few weeks, a few months, we will be,

04:10and then we will be free.

04:12It is not the end of the world.

04:14Then this fire came up.

04:16And this terrible smell.

04:18Yeah, you burn human flesh and hair.

04:35We told you about how they killed us.

04:37That what they haven't spoken about, that people died from hunger.

04:43And even worse, that people was experimented on without any anesthetic.

05:16I don't say people were always nice to each other.

05:20But so killing, industrial killing, that is,

05:25would they build factory to kill and not to produce something?

05:35And that happened the first time.

05:49Nobody who survived, don't know how, it was luck.

05:56God wanted that I should survive.

05:59So I survived.

06:01If somebody tries to answer you, they don't know what they are saying.

06:06But Zata, you often say what helped you to stay alive,

06:10not survive, but to stay alive in the camps,

06:12was that you had your sisters with you.

06:14Yeah, that is again true.

06:16I had my two younger sisters with me.

06:20I know I was the oldest.

06:24I am responsible for that.

06:27I promised myself.

06:30If I survive, I think so.

06:35I will tell the world what happened.

07:00It was the Eichmann trial.

07:03That opened the way there.

07:05That was the first time that I heard about it happened something.

07:11And then I didn't want that to open this whole terrible thing.

07:21And then I saw people know already about it.

07:24So it is much better when I know for somebody

07:29who can tell who was there, who went through it, what it was.

07:51If you look at our TikTok account,

07:53there are 10-year-olds who haven't learnt in school,

07:55asking questions, and they do want to learn.

07:57And they do want to hear from a survivor,

07:59because they know that in a few years' time,

08:01they'll be able to say to someone,

08:02I got my question answered by a survivor.

08:04And I know it's true, because she has the tattoo from Auschwitz on her arm.

08:08And it never begins with killing.

08:10Therefore, we must be so careful of voices, of speaking.
