Kamala Harris sounds off on Trump's interference in Georgia elections

Donald Trump called the Georgia Senate race illegitimate. Here's what Kamala Harris thinks about that...

00:04called the Senate race in Georgia, this Senate race in Georgia, illegitimate, he called it illegal

00:14and invalid. And then let's just fast forward to most recent history, which is yesterday.

00:22Have you all heard about that recorded conversation?

00:30Well, it was yes, certainly the voice of desperation.

00:35Most certainly that. And it was a bald,

00:40bald faced, bold abuse of power by the President of the United States.

01:00Look at that in the context of the history of the state of Georgia.

01:05Look at it in the context of the years where folks were deprived of the right to vote,

01:12who were deprived of full status of citizenship. Look at it in the history of Georgia,

01:21where one of the greatest American heroes, who is now one of the greatest of our ancestors,

01:26John Lewis, shed his blood on the Edmund Pettus Bridge, a great Georgian,

01:34for the right to vote. And he had to shed his blood because the forces were so powerful and violent

01:46in trying to deny people the rights of full citizenship, the right to vote.

01:52The President of the United States, the current President of the United States,

01:57called the Senate race in Georgia, this Senate race in Georgia, illegitimate,

02:06he called it illegal and invalid. Illegal and invalid, suggesting that the people of Georgia

02:17are trying to commit a crime. And I raise all this to remind us to ask a question always when

02:27we see these powerful people that are trying to make it difficult, trying to make it confusing,

02:37trying to invalidate our voice. Whenever we see this happen, I think it requires not only action,

02:44but it requires a question. Why are such powerful people trying to make it difficult for us to vote?

02:55And I think we know the answer. It's because they know our power.
