"This is a free country!" Meanwhile... Protests to reopen America crop up across the U.S.
Transcript
00:00Please, go ahead.
00:01In the back.
00:02Now, Mr. President, thank you very much.
00:03If there were groups of people planning to protest tomorrow against the government shutdown,
00:04what would be your advice?
00:05Against the shutdown?
00:06Yeah.
00:07Would they want the shutdown lifted?
00:08Should they go, hey, if it's in a state where there haven't been 14 days of it?
00:09I don't have any advice.
00:10People feel that way.
00:11You're allowed to protest.
00:12I mean, they feel that way.
00:13I watched the protest, and they were all six feet apart.
00:14I mean, it was a very orderly group of people.
00:15But, you know, some have gone too far.
00:16Some have gone too far.
00:17Some have gone too far.
00:18Some have gone too far.
00:19Some have gone too far.
00:20Some have gone too far.
00:21Some have gone too far.
00:22things that happened are maybe not so appropriate.
00:34And I think, in the end, it's not going to matter because we're starting to open up our
00:39states.
00:42We have constitutional rights in the United States that are based on the idea that we
01:05all have human dignity, people have a right to work, people have a right to eat, people
01:10have a right to freely assemble, and these rights cannot be taken away.
01:13These are great people.
01:15Look, they want to get, they call it cabin fever, you've heard the term?
01:19They've got cabin fever.
01:21They want to get back.
01:22They want their life back.
01:35There's no reason to shut the whole state down.
01:3799% of the people, less than 1% of the people that are vulnerable to the virus.
01:43Well, what brings me out here today is I really feel that our governor is overstepping his
01:48authority on this shutdown proclamation, and he's really hurting our economy.
01:53There's some noise in the background.
01:55We do have some folks up here in Kentucky today, and everybody should be able to express
01:59their opinion, that believes we should reopen Kentucky immediately right now.
02:04Folks, that would kill people.
02:07It would absolutely kill people.
02:28The question was about a tweet coming from our president to liberate Virginia.
02:34I would just simply say that as the governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, I, along
02:40with this staff, is fighting a biological war.
02:44I do not have time to involve myself in Twitter wars.
02:49I will continue to make sure that I do everything that I can to keep Virginians safe and to
02:54save lives.
02:55I don't know.
03:00USA!
03:03You can't close America!
03:04You can't close America!
03:07Bless Alex Jones.
03:10Bless the Enforced Team, God.
03:13We're here to reopen our country.
03:15We need to bring our economy back up.
03:17It's killing businesses doing this.
03:20People losing their jobs, people not able to support their families...
03:23And we can't keep on printing money out because we're going to end up like 1930s Germany.
03:27I've never seen so many American flags.
03:29I mean, I'm seeing the same thing that you're seeing.
03:32I don't see anything differently.
03:33There are two.
03:34There are who?
03:35Nazis.
03:36Well, that I totally would say no way.
03:38But I've seen, I didn't see that.
03:40I see all, of course I'm sure the news plays that up.
03:44I've seen American flags all over the place.
03:48I have never seen so many American flags at a rally as I have at these rallies.
03:52These people love our country.
03:53They want to get back to work.
03:55We want back.
03:57Our neighbors should know.
03:59USA, you can't close America.
