00:00The first receipt was presented at 7.15, and by 10.30 or so in the morning, we had a national boycott from the NRA.

00:08The particular message, it was inspired because the NRA was actually holding its annual convention in Dallas.

00:26The convention center where the meeting was being held is just a few blocks from here.

00:47The backlash was instantaneous and predictable.

00:52Our little restaurant here in Dallas was the subject of national conversation.

00:57It was exciting and it was gratifying.

00:59We got their attention, and that was the point.

01:07We didn't see any impact or negativity from our regular customers at all.

01:12In fact, we attracted some new customers that we didn't know before because of the publicity.

01:27We're not trying to be antagonistic.

01:29We never were, and we still aren't.

01:31What we want to be is conversational, and we firmly believe that you can have two things at once.

01:38You can have protection for someone's right to own and carry a gun or to use a gun safely and lawfully,

01:47and at the same time, protect children in their classrooms, protect pedestrians on the street,

01:52protect festival-goers in a public space.

01:56You can do both.
