8-year-old takes on gun control

She's just 8 — but she's already making waves as a gun control advocate.

00:00No matter what, I'm unstoppable, and everybody in this whole entire universe is unstoppable.

00:18I just felt sad that no one at my school went with me, but I knew that I wasn't alone.

00:24They said, why are you in your astronaut suit? Why are you going out on the grass?

00:30And I told them, I'm going to honor the people that were shot and dead, like my cousin Tony.

00:44I've traveled to 26 countries, but the only country where I didn't feel safe is here in America.

00:55I hope you'll remember Tony as you vote for lawmakers who believe in a person's right to live,

01:02no matter their skin color or their zip code.

01:05Kids like me have done everything in our power, and done some.

01:09Now it's your turn, adults. Make us proud.

01:24We got lots of great books, like Josephine Baker and Wilma Rudolph.

01:35I wanted to make that a change, so they have books to read.

01:40Every time I go somewhere new, I see girls out of school.

01:58They have to be in school, getting an education.

02:10We went to Ghana, and we gave them backpacks and toiletries and books, so they can read and they can have an education.

02:25We're also selling these t-shirts, these Unstoppable t-shirts and sweatshirts, to raise money to still help the girls in the same orphanage.

02:41So to all the kids out there, I would say, if someone tries to silence you with their words, you silence them with your amazing actions.

02:53And you are unstoppable. And even if you're tiny like me, your voice isn't.
