Texas's "baby jail bill" could put child immigrants in private prisons.

00:11This bill will license federal immigration child detention centers as child care facilities.

00:23The idea that the state would condone locking up children is unconscionable.

00:30We're not in the business of selling a product or a good, we're actually in the business of helping people.

00:38Call it what you may, but this is substantially a vendor bill in favor of one company,

00:43rather than the interests of these children that need our help.

00:55A lot of these people, probably two million, it could even be three million,

00:59we're getting them out of our country or we're going to incarcerate.

01:09That's not the Texas I know, and that's why I'm going to have to vote against your bill.
