This is no ordinary charity. It provides the homeless with warmth, support, sincerity, and plenty of kindness — all wrapped in a blanket.

00:03It's so easy to lose hope when thousands of people are walking by you every single day

00:08You feel like life is over like there is no getting out of this situation

00:11And that's just how it is, but we come and we break their pattern

00:40We wanted to show people that they're really making an impact by showing them through video right through human emotion

00:49What is happening when we deliver this blanket? We really want them to feel like they can get out of this

00:54Our friends and family supported us and they donated I think it was like around 200 bucks at the time

01:04So we took that money. We bought some blankets and we planned a day to go out into the city with our

01:10Friends and our family and just hand them out that day

01:24This place is absolutely gorgeous. There's a ton of free museums and beautiful national landmarks, but there's also a ton of homeless people here

01:47Because most of these people just don't believe in themselves

02:12Lost my mom and sister in a house fire. My parents passed away when I was younger

02:16My grandparents are not around. We stayed in a shelter. Two weeks ago all my clothes were taken

02:22Really? My cell phone, my charger, everything. They steal your clothes

02:25It's ridiculous

02:31These people that we're speaking to they're they're fighters, you know, they they're surviving every day on the streets and

02:38They're fighting even if it's one person that has been impacted in a positive way and has gotten themselves off the streets from

02:45Blankets of hope that's a win in my eyes

02:47And I think we should just keep doing everything we can to to try to push this forward and and hopefully

02:54Something will catch on
