Why we are not taking action on climate change

Denial of reality, apocalypse fatigue... Here's why people are not doing more about climate change.

00:00It's hard to comprehend why we are collectively still moving too slowly

00:04and even sometimes moving in the wrong direction.

00:19When we talk to you about something that has an intangible danger, like climate change,

00:23and that potentially will put you in danger in 20 years, in 30 years, or even your own children,

00:28the brain's answer is very often to run away,

00:31to try not to face this danger for which we have no immediate answer.

00:58We are collectively not talking about it.

01:10We will also cancel billions of dollars in climate change payments to the United Nations

01:17and we will use that money to help rebuild America's infrastructure.
