00:00We think a lipstick is trivial, but today it's a billion lipsticks thrown away every year

00:05and we know they are not recyclable.

00:07Today, cosmetics is the third most polluting industry in the world in terms of plastic.

00:11When we know these facts, we know that it is now essential to reconsider them

00:16and to reconsider them as a whole.

00:31We created our own laboratory, because for us it was very important

00:35to be able to reconcile high performance and naturalness.

00:38We formulated 400 different formulas to launch the first red serum.

00:43For example, there was animal wax, which was a bee wax.

00:46It should be known today that 80% of cosmetic wax comes from outside France

00:53and often at the other end of the world.

00:55And we know today that bee wax is contaminated by intensive agriculture.

01:01Our mascara is now 99% of natural ingredients.

01:05Our lipstick is up to 98% of natural ingredients.

01:12For example, we recently launched the first black serum.

01:15It is the first mask made entirely of glass with a metal cap and a fiber brush.

01:22There are 1 billion lipsticks thrown every year,

01:25but there are also several hundred million silicone molds thrown

01:30because we develop with silicone molds the imprint of a logo on the lipstick resin.

01:35The decision of La Bouche Rouge is to go back to what we did in the 1950s,

01:39that is, to make lipsticks in metal molds.

01:45This powder is entirely metal and rechargeable.

01:48The mirror is directly polished in metal so as not to have plastic parts

01:53and also give it a duration.

01:55The objects we make are objects for life, objects that last and recharge

02:00and are designed to be kept.
