The 2020 Democratic candidates are quick to attack the one that's surging in the polls...
Transcript
00:00I'm hearing my name mentioned a little bit tonight.
00:03I wonder why.
00:09Vladimir Putin thinks that Donald Trump should be president of the United States,
00:13and that's why Russia is helping you get elected, so you'll lose to him.
00:17I think I would make a better president than Bernie.
00:19It comes down to Donald Trump with his nostalgia for the social order of the 1950s,
00:24and Bernie Sanders with a nostalgia for the revolutionary politics of the 1960s.
00:30I'd like to talk about who we're running against.
00:35A billionaire who calls women fat broads and horse-faced lesbians.
00:41And no, I'm not talking about Donald Trump, I'm talking about Mayor Bloomberg.
00:45The fact of the matter is, he has not managed his city very, very well when he was there.
00:49He didn't get a whole lot done.
00:51He had to stop and frisk, throwing close to 5 million young black men up against a wall.
00:57Mr. Mayor, are you willing to release all of those women from those nondisclosure agreements
01:03so we can hear their side of the story?
01:08I've been told many times to wait my turn and to step aside.
01:12And I'm not going to do that now, and I'm not going to do that because a campaign memo
01:16from Mayor Bloomberg said this morning that the only way that we get a nominee is if we
01:22step aside for him.
01:27Pete, on the other hand, is trailing, Pete.
01:30You only got 39 billionaires contributing.
01:34So Pete, we look forward to you.
01:36I know you're an energetic guy and a competitive guy.
01:40See if you can take on Joe on that issue.
01:42The mayor just recently had a fundraiser that was held in a wine cave full of crystals and
01:49served $900 a bottle of wine.
01:55Think about who comes to that.
01:56When we were in the last debate, Mayor, you basically mocked the 100 years of experience
02:03on the stage.
02:05Billionaires in wine caves should not pick the next president of the United States.
02:10Mr. Mayor, your response?
02:12You know what?
02:17Sometimes I think that Senator Warren is more focused on being punitive or pitting some
02:23part of the country against the other.
02:25I went on the floor and got you votes.
02:28I got votes for that bill.
02:31You are making Republican talking points right now in this room.
02:34She has yet to describe her tax plan and whether or not that person I met would see a tax increase.
02:43It was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators
02:51who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country.
02:57Mr. Vice President, you want to be president of the United States.
03:00You need to be able to answer the tough questions.
03:02I guarantee you if you're debating Donald Trump, he's not going to let you off the hook.
03:05So did you say those deportations were a good idea?
03:08Mr. Vice President, you can't have it both ways.
03:10You invoke President Obama more than anybody in this campaign.
03:13You can't do it when it's convenient and then dodge it when it's not.
03:17First of all, Mr. Vice President, it looks like one of us has learned the lessons of
03:20the past and one of us hasn't.
