Koalas released back into the wild

Meanwhile in Australia…   Koalas that were rescued from the bushfires are being released back into the wild.

00:00Today, we're learning from the greats of the world, and we're going to learn from them

00:30four adult koalas go and then tomorrow or Wednesday,

00:33probably in two days time,

00:34we're fast tracking because of COVID,

00:36we're releasing the rest of the koalas.

00:38So we'll have 13 in total,

00:39including Joey's going back into the wild.

00:42This is Kali,

01:11it's the first koala we're about to release.

01:13So she's been at Taronga Zoo for a few months now,

01:15and we're taking her back to right where we caught her from.

01:18We've checked out the canopy condition,

01:20we know it's pretty good in there.

01:21We found some other koalas around as well.

01:23So we're just going to release her back to her home.
