00:00As part of Women's Month celebration, the Association of Women Surgeons of the Philippines

00:04and the College of Surgeons conducted a breast screening and lay forum for employees of the

00:10People's Television Network today.

00:12The event featured nationwide simultaneous breast cancer awareness lectures and a free

00:17clinic.

00:18Experts underscore the importance of early detection as breast cancer remains one of

00:22the leading causes of death among women and records the highest number of cancer cases

00:27annually.

00:28Breast professionals also recommend monthly self-breast examinations for women age 20

00:34and above with immediate medical consultation for any abnormalities, while women age 40

00:39and above are advised to perform monthly self-examinations, undergo an annual breast exam by a doctor

00:45and have a yearly mammogram.

00:47Sa lahat ng mga kababaihan sa buong Pilipinas, we would like to encourage everyone na buwan-buwan

00:56mag-examine ng kanilang breast at magpatingin sa doktor kung may nakakapa kayo or may nakikita

01:02kayong mga abnormal na simptoma sa inyong mga suso.

01:06Importante po ito dahil ang breast cancer po ay kayang gamutin kung maaga po natin madedetect.
