00:00A fire broke out in two different barangays in Caloocan last night, two people were injured, including a senior citizen.

00:12Here's James Agustin's report.

00:20Residents of a compound in barangay 176A Bagong Silang in Caloocan woke up to a fierce fire before midnight.

00:27The fire spread quickly to nearby houses made of light materials.

00:32The first alarm was activated by the Bureau of Fire Protection.

00:35Five firetrucks responded, as well as fire volunteer groups.

00:39Firefighters had to remove the fallen iron to bring them closer to water.

00:45Residents in Zabarte Road were also affected.

00:49Two people were injured, including a senior citizen, Ernesto, who was hit in the back, arm, and neck.

00:56He was not saved.

01:22Jakester's family was not saved.

01:26The only thing he was thankful for was that his mother was saved.

01:30My wife woke up.

01:32When she saw the fire, it was already on the roof.

01:36That's why we came out of the house.

01:47According to the barangay's estimate, eight houses were burned.

01:51More than 30 families were affected.
