Drake Bell and Josh Peck teamed up to talk about "Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV" publicly for the first time --- where it was revealed how Josh first found out about the abuse Drake suffered from their former dialogue coach, Brian Peck.

00:00Most everybody knows about Quiet on Set,

00:03which was kind of an expose of Nickelodeon

00:06and things that happened there.

00:07And I'm sure you've heard about Drake Bell's story

00:11that he was molested by Brian Peck,

00:15who was the dialogue coach.

00:18There was a lot of criticism after Quiet on Set aired.

00:22Criticism toward Josh Peck, no relation to Brian,

00:27for not speaking out and supporting Drake.

00:30You know, they had a show together, Drake and Josh.

00:33Very, very popular, yeah.

00:34And we didn't really hear from Josh

00:36and a lot of people were really, really upset about it.

00:40So Drake appeared on Josh's podcast

00:43and they talked about it

00:44and talked about what Josh knew and what he suspected.

00:49We were in the middle of the investigation,

00:52but nobody had known anything

00:53because Brian hadn't been arrested.

00:54Right.

00:55So I had to come back.

00:57Worst part about it being,

00:58that was my having the monster in your safe place.

01:06You know, it's like that's the only place

01:07I feel comfortable is when I get to set

01:09and hang out with you guys and we goof around.

01:12And then he was gone and I didn't know anything

01:16except I had a feeling something, something happened.

01:20And I remember we're in the car,

01:22it was you, me, and Jill.

01:24And I said, you still talk to Brian?

01:29And you just looked at me like, no, Brian's a really bad guy.

01:35And I remember thinking, gotcha.

01:38So this is a big deal for a lot of reasons.

01:40Obviously these two just sitting down together

01:42for like fans of the show.

01:43This is crazy because obviously through the years,

01:46they've had a pretty tumultuous relationship.

01:48You know, Drake got very upset

01:50that Josh didn't invite him to his wedding.

01:52They had that whole public spout.

01:53So the fact that they're even sitting down

01:55and talking about this is kind of crazy.

01:57And then also all the hate that Josh was getting

02:00for not speaking up and coming forward

02:02is kind of unfair to him

02:03because as they talk about on the podcast,

02:05he didn't really know what was even going on

02:08until he saw the documentary.

02:10He had no idea any of this was going on.

02:12Yeah, that was my take.

02:13Well, what did he mean when he said,

02:14when you said, Brian's a really bad guy?

02:16I said, got it.

02:17What did he get?

02:18I think what he meant was like,

02:20he expanded a little bit on it and said,

02:22I was a 14-year-old kid at the time

02:25and I just kind of thought like, oh, he's a bad guy.

02:27He didn't really say exactly what he thought happened,

02:29just that he got arrested.

02:31He must've done something bad.

02:32So maybe he was just trying to look the other way.

02:34But regardless, it's just obviously

02:37very, very serious allegations.

02:39And Drake gets into the fact

02:41that it really wasn't spoken about that much

02:43because he was worried it was gonna impact their new show

02:47that they were just launching.

02:48So which was right around the timing

02:50that this was all going down.

02:51How did they come back together?

02:53Once the documentary launched,

02:56obviously Josh saw all the stuff that had happened

02:59and reached back out to Drake.

03:01And that's pretty much why they started talking again.

03:04And at least on the podcast,

03:07it seems like their relationship is stronger than ever.
