05:23Today we will talk about the rights of children, whether they are our own or strangers.

05:29Especially the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,

05:33used to show great love and compassion towards children.

05:38And this is what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has encouraged.

05:43Once, Hazrat Abu Darda, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that

05:48a person came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,

05:53and said, O Messenger of Allah, I have a very hard heart.

05:58My heart is very hard.

06:00Please guide me.

06:02What should I do to ease the hardness of my heart?

06:08The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

06:11Show compassion and love to orphans and share food with them.

06:20This softens the heart.

06:23When a person shows compassion and mercy to children,

06:29Allah, the Lord of Glory, softens the heart of a person.

06:33He removes the hardness of the heart.

06:36There is a narration, which is also well known,

06:41that Michael Hort, whose most famous book, The Hundred,

06:45in which, despite being a Christian,

06:48he called the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,

06:52the best person in the universe.

06:58He also brought this narration as a justification.

07:02He said that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,

07:05was passing through a place once.

07:07The children were playing.

07:09One of the children's father came to call his child.

07:14He started calling his child.

07:16The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,

07:18forbade him to call his child.

07:20You go home.

07:21The child will come back home.

07:23He left.

07:24Later, he came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,

07:27and said, O Messenger of Allah,

07:29I was calling my child.

07:31You forbade me.

07:33I was calling him and taking him home.

07:35The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

07:37I forbade you because among the children

07:40your child was playing with,

07:43there was also an orphan child.

07:46If you had called your child,

07:49then that orphan child would not have thought

07:54that if my father was alive today,

07:56he would have called me in the same way.

07:59The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,

08:01took his step on the world,

08:03placed the lamp on every sign,

08:06and fed the whole world with the sweetmeat

08:09which he himself placed on his tongue.

08:12His time has come.

08:15His is the success of the poor.

08:18It is perfect.

08:20Look at the performance.

08:22Look at the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.

08:24Ladies and gentlemen,

08:26We will choose a flower from the blessed life of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,

08:32with regard to how the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,

08:35has instructed and encouraged the children

08:38to behave and treat their children.

08:42He has come with us.

13:49where the rights of children are respected,

13:53you will see the example of the Holy Prophet.

13:57The Holy Prophet has taught us to respect the personality of children.

14:04We know that only the elders are respected.

14:08There is no doubt about that.

14:10But the Holy Prophet also taught us to respect the personality of young children.

14:15In the Holy Prophet's biography,

14:17he used to say,

14:19The Holy Prophet would see the children and go to them

14:24and would say,

14:25As-salamu alaykum.

14:27Allah!

14:28Ibn-e-Amiyya, As-salamu alaykum.

14:30He would give them so much respect.

14:31Yes, he would give them respect.

14:33And this is the future.

14:35This is our future.

14:37The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,

14:39had this style with his children.

14:42Hazrat Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him,

14:44is a very famous companion of the Holy Prophet.

14:46No doubt.

14:47He used to say,

14:48I had a younger brother,

14:49his name was Abu Umair, may Allah be pleased with him.

14:52Yes.

14:53Abu Umair had a parrot.

14:55Okay.

14:56One day, his parrot died.

14:58His parrot died.

15:28O Abu Umair,

15:29what did your parrot do to you?

15:32the parrot is called Nughair,

15:34the little bird,

15:35he made you very sad.
