00:00I'll tell you who else is interesting in that division. It's the Pittsburgh Pirates for sure, and that always starts and stops with Paul Skeen's

00:05electricity last year, to say the least, out of him. Now you're gonna get a full season. We'll see how high he can ramp those strikeouts up.

00:12In a shortened season, 170 strikeouts. 200-plus should be the benchmark for him, and see how high he can soar over that.

00:20One of the best young pitchers in baseball leads that pitching staff with some question marks.

00:24Look at some of the statistics, Tom, from last year. Keller's ERA, 425. Heaney, 428. Falter, 443.

00:30Mlodzinski, 338 at that point. So other guys are gonna have to step up, but it starts and finishes with Skeen's.

00:37He's so much fun. Your projection for Skeen's this year, what is it?

00:42So I want to be very clear about this. Paul Skeen's is awesome. He is gonna, like you said, go for 200-plus strikeouts, whatever it might be.

00:50There will be value in betting Paul Skeen's unders on a start-to-start basis because there's going to be so much public money forcing the overs.

00:58So at a certain point, we're gonna have to find that point of resistance in the market where 8.5 lines, which we realistically could see for him,

01:05there's gonna be value in taking the under. And it's not to say that I don't think Paul Skeen's is good. He's awesome.

01:09He's going to be a Cy Young candidate every year, but again, we have to look at the market and what we're getting from it.

01:14So there will be times I take Paul Skeen's unders just because the number's too high and I don't want to bet that.

01:19I think the answer for the Pirates in their rotation will be Jared Jones and one of their top prospects, Bubba Chandler.

01:26If he sees, if those two pitchers see a lot of innings, that is what we will get from. That's what will help shape their season.

01:32Their lineup is good. It's okay. We know we're getting from Skeen's, but those other two pitchers, Jared Jones and Bubba Chandler,

01:38that's what's going to determine what the Pirates do this year.
