Sean Lowe found himself in a tough spot -- literally -- pinning down his dog after it bit him for the third time, just to keep it under control while cops worked to free him from danger.

00:00Wow, we obtained some video that is shocking.

00:06We told you about Sean Lowe, the Bachelor star,

00:11who was attacked by his rescue dog, a boxer.

00:15But man, we just got this video.

00:19And does it paint a picture?

00:21It really shows exactly what Sean

00:23was going through in battling this dog.

00:27Because remember, what happened was

00:29he had been attacked, his smoke alarm went off one day.

00:32Triggered the dog.

00:33And triggered the dog.

00:34The dog attacks him.

00:36Sean goes to the hospital, gets 20 stitches.

00:39The next day, they have the dog, that was Moose, his boxer,

00:43in the backyard, away from Sean, away from the family,

00:47while they were waiting for the rescue agency

00:49to come back and pick it up.

00:51Somehow, Moose got out of the backyard

00:54and went after Sean again.

00:56So what you're seeing now is the body cam footage

01:00when police and paramedics and the dog catchers

01:03showed up trying to get this dog away from Sean.

01:08As the video starts, Sean is laying on top of Moose

01:12and desperate not to be bitten again.

01:15I know you're holding on to him, but I just

01:16want to check where you are.

01:19You've got to do something quick.

01:20Come on, guys. Come on.

01:48So the police had to use their taser.

01:50Animal control, you see, had a leash around the dog's collar.

01:54They eventually do get Sean away safely and walk the dog off.

02:00And it is now, the last we heard, is in police custody.

02:03Sean really wants to get the dog back to the rescue agency.

02:06He does not want the animal to be destroyed,

02:09despite the fact that two days in a row

02:12he was attacked this way.

02:14He understands that there was some trigger here.

02:16But boy, the struggle.

02:18Wow.

02:19He had his full weight on the dog,

02:21and it wasn't enough feeling.

02:22Yeah.

02:23Sean had said that he doesn't blame the dog.

02:26Clearly, the dog had some kind of traumatic thing

02:28that had happened.

02:29Sean and his family only had the dog for about three months.

02:32And they posted a lot of loving videos and photos of Moose,

02:37having dreams where he's whimpering in his dreams.

02:41And he just looks like the sweetest dog.

02:43And to be honest with you guys, as someone

02:45that watched the full video yesterday when we got it in,

02:48as an animal lover, it's really hard to watch this.

02:51Because you see the dog kind of like,

02:54he's blacked out a little bit in this.

02:56Because you see him still trying to bite

02:59as Sean is pinning him down.

03:01But then, like you mentioned, they tase the dog.

03:03And then at that point, you see the dog kind

03:06of coming to his senses.

03:07Like, what just happened?

03:08What happened to me?

03:09Yeah, a lot of times it just takes over the animal.

03:12I mean, I have had an experience like this.

03:15And it really is heartbreaking.

03:17I will say this, that if you're watching this

03:21and you think, oh my god, I'd never rescue a dog

03:25or get a rescue, look, you don't know

03:29what that dog went through.

03:32If you're adopting from a shelter,

03:34you don't know necessarily from certain organizations.

03:37But the win is if you can find an animal that got fostered.

03:43And that at least the foster family can say to you,

03:47Eric in the back fostered a dog.

03:48This is our experience, yeah.

03:49And does the dog get along with kids?

03:52How is the dog with adults?

03:53Can you play with the dog?

03:54Does the dog snap?

03:55All of these things get along with other animals.

03:58And there's a checklist almost that you can go through.

04:02So if you're gonna rescue a dog,

04:04you can ask them, the rescue agency,

04:07has the dog been fostered?

04:08That's right.

04:09And you can go to agencies that make sure

04:11that that happens before the dog goes home.

04:13Yeah.

04:16And this body cam footage is just heartbreaking.

04:20It's terrifying to see how it escalated

04:22and I'm sure it was traumatizing.

04:24This is a pet owner's worst nightmare.

04:27I admire Sean for handling it with such empathy.

04:30He's still advocating for Moose, his dog.

04:32And aggressive behavior in pets can sometimes

04:34be linked to trauma or even health issues.

04:37So I hope they can figure out what caused it.

04:40Incidents like this just remind us

04:41how unpredictable animals can be

04:43and how important it is to stay under pressure.

04:45I'm just glad that he's okay.
