00:13As chair of ASEAN 2025, we are proud to lead the charge in shaping the region's mobility agenda.

00:21The ASEAN Unity Drive reflects Malaysia's vision for our championship,

00:27which is the theme is inclusivity and sustainability.

00:31It is also a reflection of our commitment to spearhead policies

00:36that fosters green transportation, enhance infrastructure development

00:41and encourage industry-driven innovations.

00:44We in Unity have always emphasised that Malaysia must move up the value chain

00:50to remain competitive and resilient.

00:53The automotive industry is a very important part of our economy.

00:57It drives GDP growth, is important for job creation and technological advancements.

01:03Under the Industrial Master Plan, we are also positioning ourselves as a regional hub

01:09for EV manufacturing, high-value automotive production and green mobility solutions.

01:14To achieve this, we are implementing initiatives to strengthen our role

01:19in the global supply chain for advanced industries.

01:22Our goal is very clear.

01:24We want to develop a vibrant, resilient and future-ready Malaysian economy by 2030.

01:31A major milestone in this journey is the launch of Proton E-MAS.

01:35As you heard from the CEO, the convoy will be six Proton E-MAS 7s

01:41that will serve to highlight the advancements in electrical mobility,

01:45supporting Malaysia's national EV agenda as well as ASEAN's broader sustainability agenda.

01:52Beyond Proton, Malaysia's driving EV ecosystem continues to attract manufacturers and investors,

01:58strengthening our regional competitiveness.

02:01We have the ASEAN Automotive Institute Alliance.

02:05This is an alliance that is committed to shape a unified mobility ecosystem.

02:10This will help strengthen ASEAN's position as a global leader in next-generation transportation.
