00:00It was just a few days ago, right here at Keeneland, that Flightline submitted his place

00:17in history in an unforgettable edition of the Breeders' Cup Classic.

00:21Now, the TDN Rising Star and undefeated son of Tappet is settling into his new home at

00:26Lane's End Farm, so we stopped in for a visit.

00:31Flightline arrived on Sunday afternoon after the race.

00:33It was decided that morning that the partners met and he would retire from racing and he

00:40arrived at 1.30 in the afternoon.

00:43Juan Leyva, John Sattler's assistant, came along with him to get him here.

00:49We also had a groom, Cesar, that came along as well too, so part of that Flightline team

00:53was here to help him get settled in.

00:56They did such a great job with him for his whole campaign.

01:00He's such a great horse to be around and it's a credit to Sattler's team that he is the

01:05way he is.

01:06One of the things that's kind of striking about him is that he's got a very big, kind

01:11eye, a very intelligent eye.

01:13We've all seen that in really smart horses and Flightline has that, so there's a class

01:18about him and there's an intelligence about him that he can kind of take in the environment

01:22and adjust to it.

01:24Luckily because he is smart and he is very good to work with, he's done very well with

01:28the transition.

01:30So right now he goes out in a round pen for a couple hours in the morning and then he

01:35comes up for the rest of the day.

01:36So we're at the point now where our stallion manager, Peter Sheehan, is pretty confident

01:42that we can get him out into a paddock sometime soon.

01:44So it's just kind of a gradual process of letting him down and getting him used to being

01:49a horse again.

01:51The attention has been incredible, both from the fan standpoint and from breeders that

01:57want to come see him as well.

01:58So this week we're just letting him settle in and get acclimated and then next week we'll

02:03begin the process of letting breeders come in and look at him.

02:07It's starting to figure out what matches up well with him.

02:10He's a son of Tappan.

02:11He's out of an Indian Charlie mare.

02:13He's got Dynaformer back in there and Stormcat far enough back that there's a lot of options

02:19with him that mares that can suit him.

02:21There's the syndicate that's behind him as well.

02:24Summer Wind Farm has a great broodmare program.

02:27So they're going to support them with very good mares.

02:31We also have West Point and Sienna Farm and also the Lane's End broodmare band as well.

02:39Stud Few has actually just announced that he'll be standing for $200,000 for his first

02:43year at stud.

02:45I hadn't seen him in person until his first work there at Keeneland, but I'd only seen

02:50him on TV.

02:51Just watching him work on the track, to watch the way that horse moves, the raw power that

02:56he has and his movement and his stride, it's kind of hard to even really put into words.

03:03And so you had a really good feeling about what was to come.

03:06And it was going to be a race that people were going to remember.
