00:00DRS, when you look at Auburn now, minus 105 to win the South region.

00:05They are the number one overall seed.

00:07The odds really did not change.

00:09Michigan State, second best place as the two seed at five to one.

00:13Iowa State at plus 550.

00:15The Cyclones are the three seed.

00:17The only real movement were those odds moving back ever so slightly.

00:21You might say, why did something happen to the Spartans or the Clones in the last 24

00:26hours?

00:27In a way, yeah.

00:28The North Carolina one looked overly impressive in doing so, and they are at the bottom half

00:32of that bracket.

00:33That if UNC were to pull, not even an upset, because they're a slight favorite now, over

00:37Ole Miss in their round of 64 matchup on Friday, UNC would get, more than likely, Iowa State,

00:45the Cyclones the three seed.

00:46They take on the 14th seed and the champions out of the A-Sun in Lipscomb.

00:51So that's why North Carolina, looking dangerous at the bottom portion of the South region,

00:56might be able to cause a little bit of chaos.

00:58They can cause some chaos now, because you're also taking a look at a team that, and theoretically,

01:02they played pretty well against Duke.

01:04They still came up short, but the whole negative energy of, you can't win that basketball game

01:08without the other team's best player, you lost to Duke three times, understandably.

01:11But now you're right.

01:12It's not as if you go, okay, well here's Ole Miss, minus seven and a half, Ole Miss.

01:15Like no, North Carolina probably should win this game, take out the seed line.

01:19And then let's just say you play odds on just who's going to advance based on the higher

01:22seed.

01:24If Iowa State was full strength, they would blow North Carolina off the court.

01:30But now you're getting North Carolina, the best version of them with maybe another victory

01:34over an SEC team before facing a big 12 team, hey, got our quad one out of the way.

01:38Now we're feeling really good.

01:39You're right.

01:40Like this sets up pretty well for UNC to win the opening night, which they did.

01:44And two more games is a legitimate possibility before then you start to meet up with some

01:48of the true heavyweights.

01:49So let's let you say Michigan State makes it in.

01:51But are we really buying UNC just yet?

01:54Is it recency bias where maybe they shouldn't be in the tournament?

01:57Oh my goodness.

01:58Now they're amazing all of a sudden?

01:59Or they dip back and say, you know what, we didn't play great basketball at Ole Miss.

02:02It's like, we've been waiting on you.

02:04This is the SEC.

02:05This isn't the ACC.

02:06This isn't the Mountain West Conference.

02:09That's what we'll see out of Chris Beard.

02:10Because again, you're not even just getting a lowly program from a smaller conference.
