Burn gunning for silverware with England after Carabao Cup triumph

Newcastle defender Dan Burn said it'd be a shame for such a talented England side to not win a major trophy.

00:00I remember I sat there with family watching that and just being gutted for the lads.

00:09Probably similar to the situation we had at Newcastle,

00:13where it's been such a long time since England's won something

00:16and it's just going to take that one team to get through that ceiling

00:22In the final before, Italy, it was the same sort of thing.

00:28Sat there watching the penalties, gutted for the lads.

00:30But as I said, we've got an opportunity

00:32and it would be a real shame for this generation of players

00:35who are very talented for them not to come away with a trophy,

00:41which I think they've definitely deserved.

00:43He said that the goal is to put another star on the jersey.

00:47Speaking to the lads after, everyone was very impressed with how he came across

00:52with his vision of what he wanted to do.

00:55You could just see looking around that people were tuned in

00:59and really want to buy into that.
