In an emotional act that highlights the importance of science in Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro led this Monday the burial of the remains of the outstanding scientist and physician Humberto Fernández Morán. teleSUR

00:04where they recognized the invaluable contributions of Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán.

00:08During the ceremony, the Venezuelan President stressed the importance of vindicating the life

00:12and work of Dr. Fernández Morán by encouraging the new generations of the country to learn about

00:18the work of the scientists as part of the reaffirmation of the Venezuelan identity.

00:22He also pointed out that Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán left an indelible mark on Venezuelan

00:28and world science thanks to his invaluable contribution to the development of the

00:32electron microscope. He highlighted that Dr. Fernández Morán is one of the greatest examples

00:37of human potential taken to its maximum expression.

00:47When you see in your homes, in your schools, in your universities, yesterday,

00:54in your communities, the life of this man Humberto Fernández Morán,

01:00you will be able to give meaning to my words that in Humberto Fernández Morán,

01:06we have one of the most immense and gigantic examples of human potential taken to its maximum

01:14expression based on ethics, morals, human conviction and Bolivarianism. He was a man of

01:24deep convictions. He lived more than half of his life outside the country,

01:33and he was an exemplary Venezuelan. Where he was, he left, well, standing the flag of Venezuela,

01:40the name of Venezuela, and despite having lived so long out of the country

01:47for different circumstances, desires of study abroad,

01:54or persecution within the country, misunderstanding that led to another scientific center,

02:03he never and never spoke ill of his beloved Venezuela, never spoke ill of Venezuela,

02:10never made a gesture against Venezuela, never asked for evil for Venezuela, ever, on the contrary.
