External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar slammed the West’s hypocrisy on Kashmir and Taliban at Raisina Dialogue 2025.

00:14He called out the West's double standards on Kashmir, stating that an invasion had been

00:18reframed as a dispute.

00:20He also stressed the need for a strong and fair United Nations.

00:23After the Second World War, the longest standing illegal, I would say, presence, occupation

00:37of a territory by another country pertains to India.

00:41What we saw in Kashmir.

00:43Now we went to the UN.

00:45What was an invasion was made into a dispute.

00:49So the attacker and the victim were put on par.

00:54Take Afghanistan.

00:56So the same Afghanistan, the same Taliban, which was an outlier, was welcomed in the

01:02Doha process, was welcomed in Oslo.

01:04Apparently, at that time, people were OK with it.

01:08Today, again, we're going back saying, you know, Taliban is doing all these not so good

01:13things.

01:14Now, if they were doing all of that, what was discussed in Oslo and Doha, you know,

01:20you had a British general who described them at that time as, you know, well, they're country

01:28boys with their own honor code.

01:31Now, so when it suits you to deal with the Taliban, they're OK.

01:35When it is not, they're not OK.

01:38You are an extremist today, you wear a suit and tie, you are OK.

01:42You know, I think I have a problem with that.
