Hey, I'm Rachel Zegler, and this is my 10-minute beauty routine.
00:07
This is my first product, and it's like a plumping spray from Emma Hardy.
00:11
My makeup artist, Niall Monteith Mann, on the set of Snow White, used to use this on me every day.
00:16
So I like to give myself a little spray of that first thing in the morning.
00:22
It smells really good. If I could just go through the day with just this,
00:26
I do. That's when I jump in with my Milk Jelly Primer,
00:31
which is kind of my favorite makeup product, because of the hydro grip.
00:36
And when you're doing a Broadway show eight times a week, you need to protect your skin,
00:40
but you also need to make sure that your foundation and your concealer stays on.
00:44
So I really like to go in with this before I do any of my base.
00:51
And sometimes I'll do this after a nice moisturizer or a serum,
00:55
depending on how my skin is feeling that day.
00:58
But definitely when you're doing as physical of a Broadway show as I have done,
01:02
it's very, very important to be able to keep that makeup on for what is possibly a three-hour stretch.
01:08
So then I go in with my Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation.
01:12
I use shade 2.5N.
01:15
This is just my favorite foundation to use because you can layer it,
01:20
depending on how much coverage you need or want.
01:22
I go in with a little foundation brush.
01:25
Dab it on my skin.
01:26
And because I don't really like too much coverage, if I can get away with it,
01:30
I only put a light layer on.
01:32
And that is covering all of my problem areas,
01:34
which is mostly my chin and my forehead whenever I have breakouts,
01:39
whether that has to do with my period or whatever's going on.
01:43
And I just like to put a healthy amount, but not too much,
01:47
because I really don't like a heavy feeling on my skin.
01:52
And yeah.
01:53
On Broadway, it is very standard for performers to do their own makeup.
01:58
So I did my own makeup eight times a week.
02:01
The blue eyeliner was crazy.
02:03
I had silver eyeshadow.
02:05
That was crazy.
02:06
I had to figure out methods of getting the blue eyeliner off
02:10
because I would wake up on my day off and have blue flecks all over my face still.
02:16
So it's a very intense process.
02:19
There's a real intense skincare regimen that had to happen
02:22
in order to make sure that I didn't have crazy breakouts.
02:26
So then I go in with concealer.
02:28
I use the Dior Skin Correct Forever Foundation Concealer.
02:32
This is in shade 2N,
02:34
because I like to do something just a little bit lighter to brighten under the eyes.
02:37
I don't like to put too much on.
02:39
I learned this from Peter Phillips.
02:41
I go in on my problem areas.
02:43
Right now, I have a spot here and I have a lovely little spot here.
02:46
And then sometimes I like to go in just for a little brightening effect
02:50
on my nose and on the bridge here on my lip.
02:57
And then I go in with a brush.
02:59
Go in with your brushes.
03:01
And then I just dab it.
03:04
I don't like to swipe because I feel like you lose a lot of product when you do that.
03:08
So I just like to dab and then make sure
03:11
that it's blended out as much as I can get it to do so.
03:16
You see, those spots kind of don't bother me too much.
03:20
Sometimes if I'm feeling spicy, we like to do a little hard line
03:24
because then I don't have to use as much eyeshadow either
03:27
because it just kind of gives a very natural effect that it's already shadowed.
03:30
I admittedly don't do my makeup every day.
03:35
But, you know, right now we're in a season of doing Press for Snow White
03:39
and doing a lot of meetings, a lot of shoots, a lot of fittings,
03:42
things that are getting photographed.
03:44
The reality of my life has changed a bit ever since the release
03:47
of The Hunger Games, where I get recognized a lot more like on the subway.
03:51
And I just prefer to look ready to have my photo taken.
03:56
OK, so usually next I go in with my contour.
03:59
This is my very dirty, as you can see.
04:02
This is my NARS.
04:04
This is in shade Laguna 04.
04:08
And I don't wear too much contour.
04:11
I don't need too much contour.
04:13
I don't think anybody really needs too much contour.
04:15
And then I like to go pretty high on the cheekbone
04:19
because it makes it a little bit more drastic
04:21
if you're looking for a little bit more of the emphasis on your cheekbones.
04:25
I was gifted very good cheekbones from God,
04:29
which is something I thank him for constantly.
04:33
When I was a kid, I used to manifest having cheekbones and dimples
04:36
and I got them both.
04:37
So keep manifesting, ladies.
04:40
I like to put some on my forehead.
04:43
And then sometimes I put just a little bit on the sides of my nose.
04:46
The TikTok girlies are going to love this.
04:49
I was using it first, but this is the Dior blush.
04:52
This is Rosy Glow in 001 Pink.
04:57
It's much brighter than I usually tend to go for,
05:00
but I do think it's one of those where
05:04
a little goes a long way.
05:06
And I like to put it right on the cheekbone.
05:08
I don't like to highlight my skin.
05:10
I don't really want to be too shiny ever.
05:14
So the blush is kind of my highlight,
05:17
and I kind of like to put it right over where my contour was
05:21
so that there's a clear distinction between the two.
05:24
And then I like to put a little bit
05:28
on the tip of my nose just to kind of keep everything together.
05:31
Sometimes I do a little bit on the forehead, a little bit on the chin.
05:33
And if I'm not going to do too much eyeshadow, which I don't plan to do today,
05:37
I'll put a little bit here.
05:38
So after I finish my blush, I like to go in with a little bit of eyeshadow.
05:43
This is the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom palette.
05:45
I like a bunch of browns,
05:49
shimmery browns, but I tend to like to go in
05:54
with a very like peachy shade on my actual eyelid.
05:59
So I kind of tend to go in with a little flat brush
06:03
and just kind of put that on very lightly
06:08
just to give a very, very clean look.
06:12
And then I go in with a little bit of a fluffy brush
06:15
and go either in Jet Setter or Smarty Pants
06:21
and tap it off.
06:23
And then that just kind of goes
06:26
right here in my crease,
06:28
gives it just a little bit of dimension, a little bit of shadow,
06:31
nothing too crazy.
06:33
And then I like to flare it out just a little bit.
06:38
And that's really it for my eyeshadow.
06:39
This is my NYX brow pencil.
06:42
What shade am I?
06:43
I'm usually, I mean, it's in shade Espresso.
06:46
Very Sabrina.
06:47
This is one that I used for Romeo and Juliet.
06:51
And I just I have very thick brows.
06:53
I have not gotten my eyebrows done since 2021.
06:57
I like to keep them as thick as possible.
07:00
And then I just kind of will clean them up
07:03
every so often on my own,
07:06
whether that's with like a little facial razor or with some tweezers.
07:09
I just kind of go in on them.
07:11
But I like to just fill them in a little bit with a thin pencil.
07:16
And then I take the eyebrow brush that's on there.
07:22
Down to the last couple of steps,
07:25
I like to take my eyelash curler
07:28
and I like to just do a quick on the very, very edge of my lashes.
07:32
I have very long lashes, but I have naturally very straight hair.
07:35
So they kind of go out straight and it's very hard to get them to curl
07:41
naturally.
07:42
And then I go in with the Charlotte Tilbury Exaggerized Volume Mascara.
07:46
This is also waterproof.
07:48
There have been moments doing the Broadway show where I did a tragedy
07:53
and I had to cry a lot and this never came off.
07:55
For Snow White, I was in the chair for an hour and 50 minutes every morning.
08:01
It was pretty quick, especially because like I feel like Gal Gadot
08:05
was in for like three hours every morning.
08:08
And then especially if she was doing the old hag, changeover was four hours.
08:13
So it was a really, really intense hair and makeup for her.
08:17
I think the most intense part of mine was making sure that the hair was perfect.
08:23
And so that was both on set and in the chair every morning
08:26
was just a very intense hair routine.
08:29
But for reshoots, I had a wig because I had moved on to other projects
08:34
and I couldn't cut my hair again.
08:36
So that was a pretty intense experience.
08:39
But those wigs were amazing.
08:41
Shout out Sam, who built those wigs.
08:42
It was really, really amazing.
08:43
And obviously Niall, who did my hair and makeup was just ace.
08:47
And Nadia Stacey, who designed it, who's also an Oscar winner for Poor Things.
08:50
My final-ish step before I set
08:54
is the Makeup Forever lip pencil in Anywhere Caffeine.
08:59
This is shade 600.
09:01
I don't line my whole lip.
09:02
I like to kind of get rid of my cupid's bow a little bit.
09:05
I like to go over it so that it's more round.
09:08
And I like to overline the tiniest bit.
09:10
Whenever I'm getting my makeup professionally done, I ask that they overline
09:14
just because I like the way it looks.
09:16
And I do that on the bottom as well.
09:21
Go in the corners.
09:25
There we go.
09:26
And then I'm going to go in in shade Remix with this gloss
09:32
that has a nice pinky, nude-ish tone to it.
09:40
It's kind of my favorite lip combo is to have like a little, like a brownish
09:44
mauve-type color, and then something brighter and redder on the inside.
09:50
And I love a gloss look.
09:52
And then my final step, I go in with this Milk Makeup Grip Set and Refresh Spray,
10:00
which I will either use as a setting spray like I am right now.
10:05
Just do a couple of spritzes and let it dry.
10:08
Or if I am touching up, I will use a setting spray.
10:13
If I am touching up my makeup, I will spray it a bit closer to my face
10:17
and go in with my brushes and just kind of, you know,
10:20
refresh what's under my eyes, what's around my eyes.
10:24
That's my whole routine.
10:30
Thank you so much for watching.
10:32
Till next time, allure.
10:33
I'm Rachel Zegler.
10:34
Bye.
