00:00Walt Disney's Snow White is something that is timeless.

00:04Ho, ho!

00:06These songs, they are in our bones, and so you want to honor that.

00:10And so in assembling a team, we went for the best songwriters.

00:14Justin Paul and Benj Pasek.

00:19We're just the biggest fans of all of the Disney animated movies.

00:23It's the reason why we even got into musical theater.

00:26We are Disney Animation Renaissance kids,

00:29so it felt very thrilling and humbling to get the chance to write some new songs

00:34for the one that started it all.

00:38Good Things Grow is a gigantic chorus of people singing together.

00:44It is a declaration of happiness and joy to bring us into the movie.

00:50From the mountains high to the deepest mines,

00:52we reap what we sow where the good things grow.

00:54It's such a beautiful Disney way of looking at the world.

01:00Don't you love a villain?

01:02I really do. That's the thing.

01:04Secretly as a writer, I think you're sort of like thrilled when you get to write a villain song.

01:12That phrase,

01:13Who's the fairest of them all?

01:15She sort of has her statement of what is fair when you're the queen.

01:18You define fair.

01:19All is fair.

01:20I think that Pasek and Paul did a remarkable job,

01:24and to get to do something different than I've never done before,

01:27it was a revelation for me and I really, really enjoyed it.

01:37A Hand Needs a Hand.

01:38It's a beautiful song.

01:39Also co-written by the lovely Lizzie McAlpine.

01:42Yes.

01:43Getting to bring her into this process and work with her on a song was so fun.

01:50It's such an incredible song.

01:52It's stunning, like the fireflies.

01:54It's a magical Disney moment.

01:58Waiting on a Wish.

02:01It's like the classic Disney I Want song.

02:07I think what makes those songs soar is they can be filled with big emotion

02:11and there's a big orchestra behind it

02:13because they can dream of a life that's bigger than their circumstances.

02:19The other thing too, you give it this beautiful blend.

02:22You know, it's the princess voice of our dreams.

02:24I'm very blessed that I get to sing this.

02:26We love you singing it so much.
