Pemilihan dua pemimpin Melayu ke Jawatankuasa Tertinggi Pusat (CEC) menunjukkan DAP mencapai kemajuan dari segi kepelbagaian, sejak beberapa tahun kebelakangan, kata Ahli Parlimen Bangi Syahredzan Johan.
00:00The election of two Malay leaders to the Central High-Powered Authority, or CEC, shows that the DAP has made progress in many areas over the past few years, said Bangi MP Syahrizan Johan.
00:17Syahrizan was elected to the Central High-Powered Authority with MP Sefora Osman, with each winning 2,065 and 1,943 votes from the representatives.
00:31The Central High-Powered Authority then appointed Syahrizan as one of the four DAP chairpersons, while Sefora became the assistant secretary of publicity.
00:43Syahrizan paid tribute to veteran party member Lim Guan Eng, who was appointed as an advisor to open the way for the DAP to become more inclusive and diverse.
00:55He also said that he will use his position as chairperson to bring together Malay voters who are not supporters of the DAP tradition.
