LeT terrorist and Hafiz Saeed’s close aide Abu Qatal killed in Pakistan

00:05Abu Qatal was a close aide of 26-11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed.

00:10He was the mastermind behind the 2023 Rajouri terror attack and Riasi bus attack.

00:15The attack targeted a bus carrying pilgrims returning from the Shivkhori temple

00:19in Jammu and Kashmir's Riasi district.

00:2126-11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed appointed Abu Qatal as Lashkar's chief operational commander.

00:27The NIHR treated five accused, including three Pakistan-based

00:30handlers of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit in the Rajouri attacks case.

00:57He was seen as a real killer. He was involved in multiple terror attacks in India.

01:03He had travelled to India, stayed in India and is a charge-sheeted terrorist.

01:07The National Investigation Agency had charge-sheeted him

01:11in connection with the Rajouri terror attack in January of 2023.

01:17Remember when a busload of pilgrims were targeted and

01:20little children were massacred and killed in that terror attack along with their families?

01:25That's when these Pakistani terrorists had targeted a bus of pilgrims

01:29that was travelling through the Jammu-Rajouri area.

01:33He's been involved in a number of other terror attacks in India.

01:36He actually had travelled from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir

01:41to Poonch and Rajouri areas and had been active quite here.

01:45Then when he went back to Pakistan, he was seen as one of the senior Lashkar-e-Taiba

01:49commanders and a very close aide of Hafiz Mohammed Saeed.

01:52In fact, there was some speculation that he'd had either a meeting with Hafiz Saeed

01:58or had been travelling with Hafiz Saeed when this incident had taken place and he was returning.

02:04Now, the area where this attack has taken place by these unknown gunmen

02:08is in Mangla. It's near Jhelum on the Jhelum bypass, the Mangla bypass in Pakistan.

02:16This is not Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. This is the heart of Pakistan's Punjab

02:21where this has taken place and this is not the first such incident.

02:25So, while his Toyota pickup was travelling and with a convoy, with protection,

02:30that's when unknown gunmen, as they're known as in Pakistan's parlance,

02:35na maloom afraad. Now, na maloom afraad were on motorcycles.

02:39They came on either side of the Toyota pickup, resorted to indiscriminate firing

02:44in which Abu Qatil was killed, a person travelling with him was killed,

02:49his bodyguard was injured and now there are images in Pakistan that show that the entire

02:55road has been cordoned off by the Pakistani police forces and the bodies have been taken

03:01to an undisclosed location. And this isn't the first time something like this has happened,
