00:00Five double-story terrace houses were destroyed in a fire that broke out at Tamanshree Orchid

00:11in Skudai Thursday afternoon. The blaze also damaged several vehicles parked in the area.

00:17Skudai Fire Station Chief Saiful Bahari Safar said 30 firefighters from three stations were

00:23dispatched to the scene. The emergency responders arrived at approximately 6 p.m., just 13 minutes

00:29after receiving the alert. The fire caused extensive damage, with some homes suffering

00:34up to 90 percent destruction. Most of the affected vehicles were nearly completely destroyed.

00:42One resident was inside the affected houses at the time of the fire. Fortunately, that

00:48person managed to escape safely before firefighters arrived. The fire and rescue operation concluded

00:54at 6.30 p.m., with teams successfully containing the blaze and preventing it from spreading

00:59to other properties. Authorities have not yet revealed the cause of the fire.
