00:00This is the PTV Balita for today.

00:10The former President Rodrigo Duterte was found dead in front of the pre-trial chamber of the ICC this March 14.

00:17According to the ICC, he will be executed later at 9 p.m. Philippine time.

00:22In the initial appearance hearing, the judge will look at the ICC, the identity of the suspect,

00:27and the language used in the proceedings.

00:30He will also be presented with the evidence and his rights under the ICC Rome Statute.

00:37Meanwhile, based on the former President's formal request,

00:40he formally appointed former Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea

00:44as his counsel in facing the ICC pre-trial.

00:48It should be noted that the former President was arrested on charges of crimes against humanity

00:52because of his bloody campaign against illegal drugs.

00:58In other news, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD,

01:02conducted an assessment in Pinzala in a fire that broke out in Barangay 602 in Santa Mesa, Manila this Wednesday.

01:10Based on the first assessment of the DSWD,

01:12it was found that 150 families were affected by the fire.

01:16Families in their barangays in Pat Antonio Street are currently being evacuated.

01:20The local government of Manila continues to validate the needs of the affected residents

01:27while the DSWD-NCR continues to provide assistance to those affected by the fire.
