00:00The arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte and his transfer to the International Criminal Court, or ICC, in the Netherlands

00:08has sparked strong reactions with former Senator Antonio Trullianes IV, expressing hope for justice

00:15as he believes it brings a sense of relief to the families of those allegedly victimized by EJK

00:23or the extrajudicial killings during Duterte's administration.

00:27Meanwhile, Senator Ronald Bato de la Rosa finally broke his silence and firmly denied claims that he went into hiding.

00:41For former Senator Antonio Trullianes IV, he's happy for the families of alleged victims of extrajudicial killings

00:48under the time of former President Rodrigo Duterte,

00:51as the former president has already been placed under the International Criminal Court's custody.

00:57Now, this has really hit me.

01:03How can a long journey of fighting for the rights of our countrymen

01:11and for the justice of the leaders of our country.

01:20But next thing to watch out for are the Duterte's co-accused

01:24and when the possible issuance of arrest warrant from the ICC will happen.

01:29We don't know that, but it's estimated that it will take a few more months before it happens.

01:35Maybe they gave priority to the arrest, that's why.

01:40But when you look at the gravity of the offense, the role of Bato and Digong is the same.

01:53Trullianes also has this message for Duterte.

01:56My message to Duterte is to use this time to pray, to accept his sin,

02:08and to purify his soul because he needs this to accept his defeat.

02:19That's up to them. But of course, it will be a bad look for the Senate.

02:29Meanwhile, Senator Ronald De La Rosa, who is also being implicated in the ICC case,

02:34denied that he went into hiding and explained why he was missing in action at the height of Duterte's arrest.

02:41I didn't go into hiding. I was in the mountains of Surigao and Tagusan.
