Duterte shares video message before landing in the Netherlands

Former President Rodrigo Duterte shared a video message on his official Facebook account after a long journey from the Philippines, shortly before his plane landed in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on Wednesday, March 12.  Duterte's plane landed in the Netherlands at around 11:53 p.m. (Philippine time).

00:00To my countrymen, just to give you the current situation, I am about to land in Shaheigh,

00:27I came from Dubai, it's a long haul, it's a long flight, and I think this has something to do with the law and order.

00:52And I am telling the police and military, work hard, and I will be the one to answer.

01:04So this is it, for all of the, whatever happened in the past, I am the one who was a fraud to our law enforcement and military.

01:24I said, I will protect you, and I will be the one to answer.

01:35This will be a long legal proceedings, but I say to you, I will continue to serve my country, and so be it.

01:58This is my destiny. Thank you.
