Former Philippines president Rodrigo Duterte "was arrested in compliance with our commitments to Interpol," says President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Speaking after a plane carrying Duterte took off, heading to The Hague, Marcos insists "we followed every single necessary procedure" in carrying out the International Criminal Court and Interpol warrant, "you will find that it is proper and correct." Duterte, 79, faces a charge of "the crime against humanity of murder," according to the ICC, for a crackdown that rights groups estimate killed tens of thousands of mostly poor men, often without proof of their link to drugs.
