00:00You've been in this club four years or so now, is this the best moment?

00:14Hell yeah it is, you know like you said, been here four years, I remember when I first came

00:20to Reason Pond Forge and Ateeva and Sarah gave me basically a long term plan of like

00:25we're going to have our own arena, we want you here long term, we want to have a different

00:29culture here and I think in those four years we've done that now and every year we've gradually

00:34gotten better and better and better and better and I just wanted to you know give my credit

00:39to the club, give my credit to these fans for sticking with me as a captain man and

00:43I think we got the right guys this year to then finally get to Silverware as we got now

00:48so I'm so proud of the guys, I'm so proud of this organization, these fans here have

00:53just been amazing and yeah I'm a very lucky captain.

00:57The third quarter in particular when you pulled away, that was massive wasn't it?

01:01When it comes down to defense like I said, you got to give credit to Surrey, they played

01:06I think their best game against us so far and I just told the guys keep sticking with

01:12it, don't get too down, don't get upset, we just got to keep plugging away, plugging

01:17away, plugging away and then once we got three shots in a row and after that we definitely

01:21made big, big plays from Brendan, from Ricky, from Donovan, Jamel hit a big three, James

01:27East came in and gave us some energy, I came in and gave him some energy, it's an electric

01:31group every time you win a championship and I thought we did that second half.

01:34Does this feel like this could be the start of a good golden era for the club now?

01:38I think we're in the golden era of the Sheffield Sharks, I'm just so grateful to be a part

01:44of it, I knew long term what it was going to be and now that we're here we got our

01:49new owner Vaughn here to help us, kind of push us through that now and yeah man, I think

01:55for the next couple of years if we keep that bar and that standard we'll be having a more

02:00simple life.
