00:00The afternoon drew to a close here at Rally Sweden as the sun started to set on Friday's
00:06stages.
00:07It was Oittanak who stormed to the overall lead of the rally, despite outbraking himself
00:13slightly on stage 7.
00:16He's in the lead by a whisker of 0.5 of a second.
00:27In the lead of this man, Takamoto Katsuta, taking one stage win in the afternoon to sit
00:34in a brilliant second place, wrangling with difficult conditions well in his Toyota Yaris.
00:45After the stellar performances of Tanak and Katsuta, Elvin Evans dropped from 1st to 3rd
00:51on stage 7.
00:53The Welshman's earlier road advantage diminishing under the changing conditions and having to
00:58manage his tyres.
01:04Adrian Formo has been tinkering with the setup and tyre choice on his Hyundai, still trying
01:10to find that elusive sweet spot.
01:13But it's going well so far.
01:15He's in 4th, 7.2 seconds off the lead.
01:20The afternoon has proven to be a more consistent one for the world champion Thierry Neuville.
01:25Getting closer to the rally leader's stage times as the afternoon progressed, he's in
01:305th overall, just under 3 seconds behind Formo.
01:35After stage 7, it's Tanak in the lead, Rovan Perra back in 6th, Martin Cesc in the leading
01:42M-Sport, he's in 7th.
