Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
02:10
And do not speak to him openly,
02:40
lest your deeds be in vain, while you perceive not.
03:10
O you who have believed!
03:30
Do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet,
03:44
and do not speak to him openly,
04:12
lest your deeds be in vain, while you perceive not.
04:42
and do not speak to him openly, while you perceive not.
05:12
Those are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness.
05:37
For them is forgiveness and a great reward.
06:01
For them is forgiveness and a great reward.
06:18
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
06:48
Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.
06:51
I am Tasleem Ahmed Sabri
06:53
and you are watching the special program of the month of Ramadan,
06:57
Rehmat-e-Sahar.
06:59
Ladies and gentlemen,
07:00
today's topic is about the rights of minorities.
07:04
Islam is the flag-bearing religion of the honor of humanity.
07:13
There is no law, principle or regulation in Islam
07:19
that denies the honor of humanity.
07:25
And Islam has given the rights of minorities.
07:30
This is evident from the pure instruction of the Holy Prophet.
07:41
The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
07:45
said that if a person, a non-Muslim,
07:54
commits injustice against a non-Muslim,
07:58
tries to take away his rights,
08:01
or hurts a non-Muslim,
08:05
without his consent,
08:10
then on the Day of Resurrection,
08:12
he will fight on behalf of that non-Muslim.
08:16
The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
08:19
said that this is not just a warning.
08:25
The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
08:28
said that this becomes a law.
08:30
This is not just a warning,
08:32
it became a law.
08:34
And then, in the state of Madinah,
08:36
the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
08:39
and then in the state of Rashidah,
08:42
the practice of this law continued.
08:45
The rights that were given to non-Muslims,
08:48
we even find in the narrations that
08:50
in the Masjid-e-Nabawi Sharif,
08:52
the rights of non-Muslims to worship were given.
08:58
The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
09:01
gave so many rights.
09:03
We will talk about this today,
09:05
what are the rights.
09:07
This is talked about a lot all over the world.
09:10
Why?
09:12
Muslims are increasing rapidly all over the world.
09:16
To oppose them,
09:18
a trick is also used,
09:21
that they are not behaving well with non-Muslims.
09:26
If they are not behaving well with non-Muslims,
09:28
then it is their responsibility.
09:30
The teachings given by Allah and His Messenger,
09:33
are the same,
09:35
that non-Muslims will be treated well.
09:38
We will talk about this today.
09:40
He has come with us.
09:42
He is an excellent scholar.

09:59
gave him a scholarship.

10:03

10:35
In the name of Allah, Rufi Sahib.
10:37
I am presenting my praises to Allah.
10:39

14:34
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome.
14:39
You are watching Rehmat-e-Sahar with Taseem Sabri.
14:42
This is the segment of Hukooq-ul-Ibad.
14:45
And today we are talking about the rights of non-Muslim minorities in the Muslim society.
14:55
We have joined us with Mumtaz Scholar, Dr. Muhammad Shahzad Mujaddidi.
15:02
Assalamu alaikum.
15:03
Walaikum assalam.
15:04
Thank you very much for coming.
15:06
It is very delicate to understand this.
15:10
What is the concept of tolerance with non-Muslims in Islam?
15:16
Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim.
15:18
Alhamdulillah.
15:19
Wassalatu wassalamu ala Rasoolillah wa ala alihi wa sahabihi ajma'in.
15:24
Thank you very much.
15:26
If we study the religion of Islam, we find that it is in its name that there is peace and security in its nature.
15:35
And as it is stated in the Holy Qur'an,
15:38
wa laqad karamna bani adam wa hamalnahum fil barri wal bahr
15:43
that it is not only a matter of honouring the people of Islam,
15:46
but it is also a matter of honouring the people of Adam.
15:48
As you pointed out in your intro,
15:51
it is a matter of honouring the whole of humanity.
15:54
This is what religion does.
15:56
So there are a few basic principles that teach us tolerance.
16:01
First of all, the religion of Islam teaches us to respect our beliefs.
16:06
Islam has given the command not to insult the sanctities of every religion.
16:13
It is very clear in the Holy Qur'an that
16:15
wa laa tasubbul lazeena yada'oona min dooni Allahi fa yasubbul laaha adwan bi ghayri ilm
16:21
that you should not curse those who worship anyone other than Allah.
16:26
If you say bad things about them, insult them,
16:30
then Allah forbid, they will not say bad things about your true God.
16:35
This is a very basic principle.
16:38
So whatever the beliefs of every religion are,
16:41
they will remain in their place.
16:42
We will neither adopt them nor touch them.
16:45
This is the principle of basic tolerance in the light of the Holy Qur'an.
16:50
The second principle is that they will be given complete freedom to practice their religion.
16:56
The Holy Qur'an and the Ahadith-e-Tayyiba clearly state that they will be given complete freedom to practice their religion.
17:03
The third principle is that you will not force anyone to adopt your religion.
17:09
laa ikraaha fid deen
17:11
This is a very clear commandment of the Holy Qur'an.
17:13
qad tabayyana rushdu minal ghayri Allah Rabbul Izzat has given you wisdom
17:18
and wisdom will tell you what is guidance and what is misguidance.
17:24
This has been revealed in the mind of man.
17:27
fa'alhamaha fujooraha wa taqwaaha
17:29
qad aflaha man zakkaaha wa qad khaaba man dassaaha
17:33
So we should not force anyone to follow the religion of Islam.
17:37
Here I will say this incident briefly.
17:40
The third great Imam of Fiqh-e-Hanfi,
17:43
Hazrat Imam Muhammad bin Hassan al-Shaybani, may Allah have mercy on him.
17:46
One day when he was passing by,
17:48
a non-Muslim saw his face and his tongue began to speak.
17:52
When he went home, people taunted him,
17:54
saying that he had left his own religion.
17:56
What has happened?
17:57
Was there any preaching or preaching?
17:58
What did you hear?
17:59
After that, you left your own belief.
18:02
He said, no preaching, no preaching, no speech, nothing.
18:05
I saw the Muslim Imam Muhammad.
18:07
So my heart testified that if small Muhammad is so beautiful,
18:11
then what will happen to the beauty of great Muhammad?
18:13
This means that you have to become a perfect, perfect preacher.
18:17
You cannot force anyone to follow the religion of Islam.
18:21
And the fourth principle of tolerance that the religion has taught us,
18:24
is the inter-religious dialogue.
18:27
We will talk about this in detail later.
18:29
And the last thing is the peaceful coexistence.
18:35
You should have the courage to tolerate the existence of others.
18:40
This is what we have learned from the life of the Holy Prophet.
18:42
You will impress people with your attitude, your words, your actions.
18:50
Now, the emotional Muslim in the society says that
18:54
he is worshipping idols made by his own hands in front of me.
19:00
I cannot tolerate it.
19:02
What should I do?
19:04
I will never let this happen in my society.
19:08
I will not let it happen in my mosque.
19:10
This is blasphemy. This is blasphemy of Allah.
19:12
He is associating others with him.
19:14
He does not believe in the Messenger of Allah.
19:16
I cannot tolerate it. Is this attitude correct?
19:18
It is correct.
19:19
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
19:20
All praise is due to Allah.
19:21
And peace and blessings be upon the most honored of the Prophets,
19:24
the Messengers, and upon his companions.
19:26
Say, O disbelievers, I do not worship what you worship.
19:29
And you do not worship what I worship.
19:31
And I do not worship what you worship.
19:33
And you do not worship what I worship.
19:35
And you do not worship what I worship.
19:39
He started with, Say, O disbelievers.
19:42
But the last thing he winded up with was,
19:45
And you do not worship what I worship.
19:48
Your religion is with you.
19:49
Now, see, here is the strange thing.
19:52
He has called religion.
19:54
His program too.
19:56
Whatever it is, he has called it religion.
19:59
Allah, Allah, Allah. Wow, wow.
20:01
Yes.
20:02
What did he say?
20:03
He did not say religion.
20:04
He said,
20:06
Here, your code of life.
20:09
Whatever you have chosen, whatever your priority is,
20:12
As you wish.
20:13
You do it.
20:14
Neither bother me, nor should I bother you.
20:16
Okay.
20:17
Qaid-e-Azam had asked Maulana Muslim,
20:19
Maulana Muhammad Bakhsh Muslim,
20:21
Where is this two-nation view in the Quran?
20:24
He asked other scholars too.
20:26
Because he was a very scholarly, learned man.
20:29
So he used to ask,
20:30
What we are doing, is it in our religion too?
20:32
Is it in our religion too,
20:33
that we take the stick with enthusiasm?
20:35
Wow.
20:36
So tell me from the Quran.
20:37
He told the verses and also told this.
20:39
This is the basis of two-nation theory.
20:42
Pakistan's flag,
20:44
The white color in it,
20:46
That is for minorities,
20:48
For representation and translation.
20:50
This is your space.
20:51
This is your place.
20:52
You will live in it.
20:54
Even in the state of Madinah,
20:56
And when the state of Pakistan came into existence,
20:59
On the basis of Kalima,
21:01
On the basis of La ilaha illallah Muhammad Rasool Allah.
21:03
This space has been kept in it from the beginning.
21:06
In religion too.
21:07
Even in the constitution of our country.
21:10
That the non-Muslims,
21:12
Minorities,
21:13
Zimmi,
21:14
They will live.
21:15
Those who believe in us,
21:17
They also believe in our religion.
21:19
Yes.
21:20
Absolutely.
21:21
Yes.
21:22
That is why they have been given a place.
21:23
That they will live with us in peace.
21:25
They go to their temple,
21:26
Go to their church.
21:27
We will go to our mosque.
21:29
And we will provide them security.
21:31
We will protect them.
21:33
Not just that we will attack them or not.
21:36
This is not permission.
21:38
The meaning of the minorities living in an Islamic state is,
21:43
That they are now under our protection,
21:47
Under our shadow.
21:49
They have become our responsibility.
21:50
They have become our responsibility.
21:51
Zimmi means this.
21:52
Yes.
21:53
So, Islam has made a very clear cut.
21:56
Very clear.
21:58
If there is something,
22:00
If the scholars want to talk to each other,
22:02
Then there is a way for dialogue.
22:05
But in that,
22:06
The consensus has been kept.
22:08
That come,
22:09
The things that are common between you and me,
22:12
Based on that,
22:13
We can also socialize.
22:14
We can sit together.
22:15
We can eat together.
22:16
We can give each other gifts and gifts.
22:19
We can come and go.
22:20
If there are neighbors,
22:22
Then according to that,
22:24
There is more right for each other.
22:27
There is a whole package that Islam has given.
22:30
And on this,
22:31
I want to take the name of a book today,
22:33
Shah Sahib.
22:34
Ahkamu Ahlul Zimma.
22:36
Okay.
22:37
It is a very big book.
22:38
Which is for those good scholars.
22:41
This is the book of Imam Allama Ibn Al-Qayyim.
22:44
Subhanallah.
22:45
It is in two volumes in Arabic.
22:47
It is of Ibn Al-Qayyim.
22:48
It will be very Qayyim.
22:49
And it is very Qayyim.
22:50
Obviously,
22:51
This is a well-known book among the scholars of Islam.
22:54
Here in Pakistan,
22:55
I want,
22:56
I am addressing only the scholars at this time,
22:58
That they should definitely see this book.
23:00
Inshallah,
23:01
There will be such an opening of the heart,
23:03
Such a mind will open,
23:04
That peace,
23:05
And blessings,
23:06
And springs will be felt.
23:07
Very good.
23:08
Mashallah.
23:09
Let's include the words,
23:10
Mr. Rubi.
23:11
Qibla.
23:12
Yes,
23:13
Inshallah,
23:14
By the grace of Allah,
23:15
Today,
23:16
In this whole session,
23:17
We will read the words written by Allah.
23:19
Subhanallah.
23:20
By the name of Ahmad Reza Barelvi.
23:21
Rahmatullah.
23:22
Subhanallah.
23:50
Subhanallah.
24:20
Subhanallah.
24:50
Subhanallah.
25:50
Subhanallah.
26:50
Subhanallah.
27:20
Subhanallah.
