00:38Meet Jan Clark, a.k.a. Merman Clark, the guardian of the ocean.

00:44Clark is a member of a group of professional mermaids who participate in events.

00:48He made a viral video when they went to Cebu.

00:52We went to Cebu Ocean Park to showcase our skills, creativity, and artistry underwater.

00:57Clark is an employee of a technology company.

00:59But in 2023, he came up with a new hobby.

01:02When I started freediving, I said, I want to try being a merman.

01:06Because I want something different.

01:07I enjoyed it more.

01:08My goal is to break the stereotype.

01:10He says he achieved it.

01:11It's nice to feel that the kids come to me.

01:14They wave, they have hearts.

01:16They saw that someone became a merman.

01:18Mermaids are known as mermaids in the sea with a human head and upper body.
