00:00So it's been widely acknowledged that since 2023 we've had an ILAC inspection.

00:05During that ILAC inspection, Peterborough City Council's Children's Services was

00:10told that we needed to improve. We were rated as inadequate. Since then there's

00:14been significant investment into the service which has enabled more foster

00:18carers, which has enabled a MASH, which is a multi-agency service hub, to be

00:24located within San Martin House here in Peterborough and Ofsted have said that

00:28the progress that the MASH has made is fantastic, that within less than a year

00:33the service is doing what it needs to do. We're fully aware that things still need

00:37to improve but the shoots are there and they're growing fast and I couldn't be

00:41prouder to be cabinet member for Children's Services and Education here

00:45in Peterborough. The best thing is that the service is improving for the

00:48children here in Peterborough and I just want them to thrive, not survive.
