St Pat's manager Stephen Kenny gives his thoughts after a controversial 2-0 win over Derry City.

00:00Stephen, two wins from two. How are they, lads?

00:03Yeah, I think it was a long bus journey home from Galway, of course.

00:07We sort of only took a point from our first two games this season.

00:10I couldn't actually speak to anyone there.

00:13So good to lose games and players that we knew that it was a three-game week

00:18and we want to excel in three games like that.

00:20It's a good mentality of the group to deal with all the setbacks that we did on Friday.

00:25We lost two players injured in the first half.

00:28Maybe some were hunting on doing what Sligo did well to come back to 3-0 in a game

00:33that we should have been out of sight in.

00:35And then to come back and get the winner helps when you have players who can score goals.

00:41So today we were a bit depleted in the midfield, missed a number of players.

00:45Jason Cletham went in and played in there and did very well.

00:49And Chris, after coming back into the team.

00:51So they did fine and we deserved a win.

00:54Without being three days after a quick turnaround,

00:57I'm not saying we were at the level that even we were at last Friday

01:01where we were very, very good.

01:02But we still deserved to win.

01:12I just had a look back there because I hadn't seen them.

01:15I didn't see a TV interview and hadn't seen them.

01:18So I put a look at them and two of them are absolute penalties.

01:22And the sending off.

01:23There's no real argument on that.

01:25He's come through high over the top of the ball.

01:27Well, maybe he doesn't mean it.

01:28Maybe just overzealous.

01:29But it looks a sending off.

01:39Did he say that, did he?

01:40Yeah.

01:41Tell him thanks very much.

01:42Alright.

01:43He's not known for his discretion, Chris, is he?

01:45No, I'm only joking.

01:46No, he's a great, great guy.

01:47But he's been excellent in the two games.

01:49Absolutely excellent.

01:51Listen, we didn't target nine points.

01:54We just said it's a nine-point week.

01:56And let's get a one win and see where it takes us.

01:59And so it was a tough game against Shamrock Rovers on Friday.

02:02And we've got a formidable squad.

02:05We got beaten tonight.

02:06They're going to want to do well at home.

02:07So we'll get a tough game for sure.
