Kedah MB Sanusi acquitted of sedition charges

Kedah Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, was acquitted and discharged (DNA) by the Shah Alam High Court on Monday (Feb 24), regarding a sedition case involving remarks about the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, made during a political speech in July two years ago.  Judge Datuk Aslam Zainuddin made the decision following the prosecution's announcement that they did not intend to proceed with the case against Sanusi. 00:5511, 2023.

00:58On February 1, 2024, the trial for the two cases was transferred to be heard together

01:04at the Shah Alam High Court.

01:06On September 26 last year, the Sultan of Selangor accepted an apology from Sanusi.
