00:00What are my mom's stage mom moments?

00:03Hi! This is Camille Prats, and this is Give Me Five.

00:16My mom's five stage mom moments?

00:19I believe during the shooting of Sara Ang Monting Prinsesa,

00:23my mom was very, very protective of me.

00:26So, when we were in Scotland,

00:29of course, it was the first time the two of us experienced snow.

00:33So, for nine days, she didn't bathe me

00:37because I would get sick.

00:39Then, she covered my whole body with Alcamporado.

00:43I don't know if you know that.

00:45It's supposed to protect my body from coldness.

00:50So, imagine smelling like Alcamporado

00:53for the entire two weeks of my stage.

00:56Of course, I can't complain, right?

00:57So, that's one.

00:59Two is during a TVC shoot.

01:02I was probably about four or five years old.

01:05It was a bit late.

01:07And then, I remember I was already asleep.

01:10I was so sleepy.

01:11So, I was on the table.

01:13And then, the AD would shake the table to wake me up.

01:17And when my mom saw that, she went into monster mode.

01:21So, she just went down, picked me up, and brought me home.

01:26So, that's two.

01:28Third, what are my mom's stage mom moments?

01:32Whenever I would have VTRs when I was a kid

01:36to audition for commercials,

01:39my mom would use one lipstick.

01:42I only used one piece of cosmetic.

01:44I remember it's a Clinique lipstick.

01:46And he would put two dots each on my cheek.

01:50Then, he would do this to my face when it hurt so much

01:54so that it would look like rosy cheeks.

01:56Then, he would dab it on my lips

01:58so that it would look like rosy lips.

02:01So, only one makeup.

02:03Everyone can do that.

02:05When I became a teenager,

02:07my mom would still, of course,

02:09sometimes go with me during taping.

02:12And I would remember, I would see her from afar.

02:16And every time I was in front of the camera,

02:20she would send me a selfie.

02:21Smile, smile, smile.

02:24Like that.

02:25So, that's my fourth stage mom moment of my mom.

02:29And last, I remember,

02:31as a child, I was so shy.

02:34And one of the things that I need to do

02:36is to pay respect to other actors and actresses

02:39by being the first one to kiss them.

02:41And it's so challenging for me

02:43because I was so shy.

02:45And I felt like,

02:46these people don't know me.

02:48And I would kiss them.

02:49I would kiss them.

02:51So, you know, I was still in the car.

02:53I was so scared.

02:54And I would hear,

02:55kiss them all.

02:56Say hi to them.

02:57Kiss them.

02:57So, I was like,

02:58hello, hello.

03:00But you know what?

03:01I realized that

03:02those things are very important.

03:06And they are foundational,

03:07especially in this industry,

03:09that it's really important

03:11that you give your best.

03:13Especially those who have been in this industry

03:15for so long,

03:16as a sign of respect to them.

03:17And when I was young,

03:19of course, I didn't understand that.

03:21But as I grew older,

03:23I understood that

03:24everything that my mom did for me,

03:26as a child, even until now,

03:28is because of how she really wanted to protect me.

03:31And I'm grateful for that.
